Having three of them grow up together in a small, northern village (Alsager), on the outskirts of Stoke, bleached WAIL was soon to come alive. However, it wasn't until endless nights of beer, red eyes and complete foolery had passed, that a comprehendable idea emerged.
The Wig/Bear/Richard Tunnicliffe was the genius behind it. Although his guitar playing skills were...................., a boggled mind couldn't stop him from doing something different. So he blurted out his thoughts to whoever was around. Those who happened to hear were Gus Isherwood and Adam Flood. This was the birth of bleached WAIL.
After 1 year of weekly Jams in Gus' garage, the boys got sick of the flooding, complaining local twats and the same old shitty songs. So they went searching for a drummer, singer and original material.
Their first drummer came and went quickly afer a sabotaged moped. But with mopd intact, Nick Hulme (drummer bW), couldn't be stopped. With his army like discipline and stern posture, he put some beef into the band.
Finding a singer was difficult for the lads. Having tried a few options (Ash - Skinless Finger, Steve Irwin - croc diaries), they realised that the only option was in the fucking mirror. So with a rusty voice and a 5 min warm up, Gus took the role and Floody backed him.
Bleached Wail open for Dead Like Heros headline slot at the Axis Festival 2008 launch party, recorded live on BBC Radio Subculture, also appearing Fall 42.
