Digging back through the layers of ground as an archeologist would, often reveals something unexpected or unknown about a place’s past and the culture of the people who inhabited the space. For Axis Festival, Kate Lynch will be exploring the sub-cultural aspects of the city, carrying out her own excavation of posters and memorabilia, from past gigs at the Sugarmill, and in doing so allowing the viewer to explore the changes in culture of the city through it’s music and art.
