As part of the 2008 Axis Festival we are working in conjunction with AirSpace to present a programme of exciting, innovative and provocative art works which will be staged across the city, sometimes in unexpected and unusual venues.
The first of these “events” will take place at Fat Cats, where the audience can experience a immersive environment of live music works of art, DJs and film. This is the second in a series of works called “Creationism” the first being staged in September 2007 at the Underground. Open to all and staged in familiar and comfortable surroundings, with a nice beer in hand, this is an unthreatening and easy way to approach contemporary art and music.
Music is provided by Rachel Rimmer, Donovan Wrench, Subrosa, MS Thomason, Tom Harley (Spectrum Fires) with tunes from DJ Digital Interference
Short Films by Junction 15 and Blank Media
plus artworks and installations by Anwyl Willis Copper, Pete Smith, Joseph Booker and Darren Washington
