Introducing contemporary works of art into unusual environments, brings another level of meaning to the people who experience it. This will be the case at Dazed in the city centre, the shop has had a long tradition of presenting artwork to it’s visitors, providing a stage for many artists working with the themes of the urban environment. During the Festival a special event has been organised which will bring live music from , DJs, and performers to Dazed. The event will also bring the experience of watching artwork being produced live and in response to music.
Mauskramp hail from Stafford their sound takes “elements of electronica & garage punk & all the bits in between they created what they describe as "bad tempered rock 'n' roll disco".They have built quite a healthy following due to their somewhat noisy approach to live performance.”
Artist Lindsey Cotterill will be using paint to describe the sound-scape of the shop, while other performance artists will utilise the window spaces to bring the event into the public realm.
Music by Mauskramp, Live artwork by Lindsey Cotterill, and performances to be confirmed.
