Stoke-on-Trent's Andy Gower is living proof that if you have songs inside of you then you can make music and be successful without the need for record companies. For years Andy's audience were his friends and families, getting him to knock out some of his old band tunes at parties and informal gatherings. A reluctant star Andy finally got to play at The Sugarmill supporting Simple Kid. These days when Andy plays The Sugarmill is full. National supports have followed most notably a tour with Scott Matthews and recently the release of Andy's debut album on his own Kojak Record label. Andy's songs are real, simple and honest but with a melancholic and melodic touch that is entirely his own. With BBC Radio 2 exposure and as well as commercial stations all over the country starting to play his work, Andy is a true local talent, we are delighted to invite him to share what he knows with you.
