Good sound is essential in the promotion of a great gig. If you aspire to be a sound engineer then this is an opportunity to have a quality experience in the techniques required to be the best. Budding ‘front of house’ engineers spend a full day with David Hadley former Front of House sound engineer with Pulp and currently with Gomez . Topics include how to mic instruments, fold back, EQ techniques, microphone and equipment discussion etc. Booking is essential through UpStart The day of tutorial climaxes with the Axis Festival 2008 Launch Party at the Sugarmill showcasing some of the best up and coming new bands of the city.
With only 5 places on this course, and a gig to run at the end of the night, you are going to experience a truly hands on process.
